Hajji Luyima Uzair Gasana was contesting for the seat of Member of parliament for Mbarara City South Constituency on the Democratic Party card that he has now come out and denounced after missing being on the Ballot come 2026 general elections.
Born and raised in Nyamitanga, Katete Mitlo cell in Mbarara, Luyima confirms having some misunderstands with the Democratic Party members that had to push him contests as an independent Member of Parliament which seems not to work for and his giving in support to another person.
After conclusive engagements, Hajji Uzair decided to support Hon. Mwine Mpaka and Hon. Charity Kibazhu on the same seat and he confirms to support him since he had almost the same manifesto and has potential to deliver and he is ready to also support him in the coming elections 2031.
During the same presser, Uzair confirmed that he joined the National Unity Platform with his only head and ready to keep supporting and relaying with views of the people and he ready for anyone that comes to ask for his vote at the presidential level.
“Am not out of this race because was paid, I have my money and no one that can pay enough to fail me miss the ballot paper, but let’s wait Hon Mwine Mpaka to finalize with the projects left and 2031 shall be on the ballot” – Uazir confirmed
