Eddy Kenzo Returns to GRAMMYs with “Hope and Love” Nomination

Grammy Awards are one of the biggest entertainment awards in the world alongside Academy Awards known globally as “Oscars”, these awards are regarded as the most prestigious, significant in the industry in the United States.

Being the fact that they’re so big makes it hard for musicians mostly those from the African continent to be nominated or even considered that’s why we always see WHITES most in these awards.

Before Eddy Kenzo’s first Nomination, he attends one Grammy Event and its alleged he first stop at the Red carpet but he later engaged with a few prominent members and got know the procedures and he has to implement them to secure his name considered in the next nomination list.

Eddy Kenzo was first nominated after his collaboration with Matt B in October 2021 and the song got much international recognitions as number 36 on Billboard US Afro Beats Songs chart in November 2022, Viba Hot 100, Uganda’s Official Single charts that later came to a nomination for Grammy Awards as Best Global Music Performance in 2022. The Recording Academy announced the nomitaions for the 68^th Grammy Awards and Eddy Kenzo featured on the list with Burna Boy,Davido,Ayra and Tyla as they are under the category of Best African Music Performance and the awarding is in to happen in Los Angeles.

This year’s eligibility period includes recordings released between Aug. 31, 2024 – Aug. 30, 2025. The final round of GRAMMY voting, which will determine GRAMMY winners, will take place Dec. 12, 2025 – Jan. 5, 2026. The GRAMMY Awards will return to Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sun, Feb. 1, 2026, and will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network

Its also on record that Eddy kenzo is the first Ugandan to feature in the Grammy awards and acquires a recoginition,The winners are expected to be announced on 1st February 2026. Let’s pray Uganda grabs one.
