Social Media Celebrities Facing Prison Time During Christmas Holiday.

As we get closer to the Christmas celebrations a number of Public Figures, Politicians, High profile Socialites are to ark the 2025 celebrations behind Prison Bars as many are still on remand as their charge sheets are before different courts awaiting to set them free or serve penalties.
Check the list below

1.DR. WAREN KIZZA BESIGYE KIFEFE

The veteran Opposition Politician is yet to spend his consecutive Christmas behind bars following his arrest from Kenya on 16th November 2024. He was arrested while attending an event that was organized by Kenyan Politician Martha Karua who is also standing as his Lawyer.
After his arrest, Kizza Besigye was returned to Uganda under serious deployment and he was presented before the Uganda Court Martial and later transferred to civilian courts.
The 68-year-old is facing charges of treason which is a capital offense in the Laws of Uganda.

2.HAJJI LUTALE KAMULEGEYA

Hajji Obeid Lutale was arrested on the same charges with Dr. Warren Kizza Besigye Kifefe and he was his aid as they were in Nairobi Kenya, the two rain on remand at Luzira Prison as they wait for the court ruling

3.ALEX WAISWA MUFUMBIRO

The deputy party spokesperson for the National Unity Platform (NUP) member was arrested in September by security individuals on charges of organizing and participation in Unlawful drilling and conspiracy to commit a felony as per his charge sheet.
The said drill happened at Kavule at the NUP headquarters as they celebrated the Party President’s birthday.

4. BOBI GIANT

Calvin Tasi who is popularly known as Bobi Giant who was serving a Body Guard to H.E Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu was remanded after appeared before court after his alleged abduction in September was charged with charges relating to Unlawful Drilling.

5. EDDIE MUTWE

Edward Sebuffu A.K.A Eddie Mutwe was arrested in May on charges of aggravated robbery and he has been appearing before Masaka Court and later to Nabweru and remanded to Luzira Prison.

6. BRYAN WHITE

City Socialite Kirumira Brian popularly known as Bryan White is at Luzira Prison on remand on charges linked to the death of a 25-year-old Carol Nalubwama, he was remanded during November and is expected to appear again before court on 18th December 2025 for another hearing on his case.

7.SHALOM KAWEESI

Celebrated YouTuber Shalom Kaweesi was arrested on charges of Cyber Harassment and hate speech against Presidential Advisor Nakangubi Jenifer commonly known as Full Figure.
He appeared before Makindye Chief Magistrates court and he was read the charges and sent to Luzira Prison till 30th December 2025.

8.SIPAPA

Charles Olim also known as Sipapa was arrested and remanded on charges of aggravated robbery since September 2022 and is to get his 4th consecutive Christmas in Luzira. He is facing more charges at both High Court, Makindye magistrates court and the Anti-Corruption court.

9. ACHILLEO KIVUMBI

Kivumbi he used to serve as National Unity Platform Party President private body guard, he was first remanded to Masaka on charges of aggravated robbery and later added on charges of Unlawful drilling and then sent to Luzira prison.

10.NORBERT EVENTS.

Norbert Twizire commonly kwon as Norbert Events was remanded to Luzira on charges of defamation and alleged harmful statements on Eddy Kenzo, Hon.Phiona Nyamutoro and Jose Chameleon.
He is expected to report back to court on December 18th

11. DEAN LUBOWA SAAVA

Celebrated journalist Lubowa was charged in October and remanded by Makindye court on charges by standards, utilities and wildlife. His charges are more related to illegal broadcasting and defamation on his alleged operated unlicensed online Tv station
