Churchill Ssentamu drops NUP Umbrella Symbol, Aims at Unity

Makerere University Guild President has come out to defend his move to drop the National Unity Platform (NUP)Symbol from his campaign material and run independent for the seat of Youth Member of Parliament Central Region and assures the decision was a deliberate effort to promote unity among the young people.

Churchill who’s the son to National Unity Platform Fred Nyanzi and also nephew to the Party President Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu A.K.A Bobi Wine has not only drop it at his level but also the run for Guild presidency for Makerere university were his was denied the party card.

During his statements, Churchill confirmed of being aware of the existence of the Umbrella but he also has his opinions since he aims at independence.

“My campaign is forced on unity and empowering rather than partisan loyalty as many look and seem to engage in politics.

Ssentamu Churchill stands to be the 91st Guild President of Makerere University and he won the election after running as Independent with a total of 3,459votes and his win was endorsed by God in his statements.
