Following on the recent Presidential debate, aspirant Mubarak Munyagwa has finally shared his opinion on why he didn’t attend the presidential debate that was organized by Nation Media Group and aired on NTV and Spark Tv.
Uganda is having eight candidates that seeking powers from the natives to give them support to take over power as the President of Uganda and these include incumbent candidate President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (National Resistance Movement), Gen.Mugisha Muntu(ANTI), Frank Bulira (Revolutionary People’s Party), Robert Kasibante (National Peasant’s Party), Nathan Nandala Mafabi(FDC), Mubarak Munyagwa (Common Man’s Party) and Joseph Mabirizi (Conservative Party)

On attendance a few never appeared on the panel and these included the incumbent President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Mubarak Munyagwa, Robert Kasibante.
Mubarak Munyagwa on response on why he didn’t attend the debate attributes his reasons on President Museveni not attending yet he is the incumbent and the Debate looked like the other candidates are just fight within themselves mines the person they want to out seat.
“We are giving President Museveni latitude to portray us as people that aren’t worthy opponents, you who enter appearance end up in a monolog, a debate is an intellectual competition not a friendly talk” – Munyagwa
“The debate we need is where we compare us polices and ideas with President Museveni but Not us versing other candidates who is not the incumbent”

“I didn’t fear anybody on that panel unless Gen.Mugisha Muntu because the rest looked funny minus the existence of President Museveni whom we are aiming at out seating as the president and let another person take control of Uganda.
Ntv organized the Debate at Serena Hotel and it was a success and shared a report and indicated that 1,023,034 tuned up and followed online and this being a huge number of people that showed interest in their initiative.
